Laurie graduated from Minnesota State, Mankato, in 1987, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Laurie began to expand her career in real estate in 1992, picking up additional licenses in Real Estate Appraisal in 1999. Auctioneer in 2009, Loan Origination License in 2015 and most recently, a Real Estate Brokers License in 2018

In January 2018, Laurie was among a select few chosen to teach/train/coach and speak on behalf of Michael J Maher, Author of 7 Levels of Communications. She is a member of the 7L Master Certified Referral Trainer training roster.
